Five of Malta’s Best Homeware Shops
A few personal touches can make all the difference to a practical but impersonal rental property. Read on for Mini Malta’s favourite places to go for beautiful homeware on the island.
Zara Home
The Zara Home stores in Sliema, Mosta and Qormi are truly a treasure trove for beautiful homeware at sensible prices. Everything is on the website and you can either collect in store or have your goods delivered (free over €150).
From children’s homeware to Christmas decorations, through beautiful bedlinen and dreamy accessories, this is the place to go for a huge range of affordable items to pretty up your rental and make it feel more like home.
Royalty Bedding
More than anything, a comfortable bed makes all the difference to ensure that your house feels like a home. The Mini Malta team have used Royalty Bedding in Qormi for both mattresses and bedding, and have been extremely impressed with the quality, value and service. Mattresses are made here in Malta and so unusual specifications can be accommodated but turnaround time is generally pretty quick. Highly, highly recommended if you need to find a new mattress or bedding.
The Atrium
For everything from clothes pegs to built-in furniture, The Atrium’s huge store in Birkirkara has it all. Their range is absolutely vast and they carry a large number of internationally recognised brands including Habitat, Dyson, India Jane and Brabantia.
If you have recently arrived on the island and feel somewhat nonplussed about where to find homeware in your local town, a trip to The Atrium will put your mind at rest as there is very little you won’t find there. Always worth a look.
Malta Megastore
There are a number of options for IKEA deliveries to Malta, but the team at Mini Malta tend to use Malta Megastore the most. Ordering is easy, pricing is comparable to their competitors and delivery is quick and helpful. Make sure that you check that what you are ordering comes with all the parts you think it should. When buying toddler beds in the past, we have been surprised to discover that they didn’t include the slats for the base and this was a separate item. A reliable, well-established way of getting your IKEA goods to the island.
Camilleri Paris Mode
At the top end of the budget perhaps, but Camilleri Paris Mode really is a very special homeware destination. With outrageously beautiful shops in Rabat (best for larger furnishings) and Sliema (fantastic for accessories and details) which will inspire and delight, the expert team at Camilleri Paris Mode will help to guide you through your purchasing decisions.
Stocking a wide range of beautiful international brands, this is the place to go in Malta for the very best in luxury homeware.
